Due to my sweet tooth, I had attempted to keep Ke'akua away from any sweets his first year, so when he was able to "dig in" to his birthday cake he wasn't sure really what to think. For those of you whom have been following us from the beginning, Ke'akua was slow to transition from formula to "solids." He has continued to transition slowly from "solids" to people food - he doesn't like his fingers to get dirty. So, his first attempt at his cake was pretty uneventful....
We met Ted at work that day and walked over to Julia Davis Park to check out the big fountain and ride the swings....what a great day! :)

Yay...Happy Birthday to me! :)
Occasionally, Ke'akua and I get to hang out with Colton (Ted's nephew) and the boys have a blast together; they are only 4 1/2 months apart and are the best of little buddies.
